This wiki has two goals:
- stimulate ideas for the Columbus Citizen Summit on January 29th 2008
- be an ongoing community resource for local innovation
How this space is (un)organized
The navigation to the left is based in part on the official
13 Focus Areas created by the City-appointed Bicentennial Commission. These areas are under the
"Official Categories" section. Much citizen input has already been collected and can be read on the
focus areas pages of the Columbus2012 web site.
But not every community issue is going to find its place in these categories. Not every one isgoing to beembraced by establishment Columbus nor paid for by bonds or levies. These ideas still deserve discussion and debate. The best can still be cultivated and taken on as citizen-led initiatives to make our community the best it can be. These ideas can

How to use this space: Some suggestions
Just do it: Don't worry about picking the right category or putting your thoughts on the right page. Just write it. The "correct" organization may not emerge until later. Content can always be moved.
Share it, don't own it: This is collaborative space. Your contributions will likely be rewritten. See the
wiki how to page for more on wiki etiquette.
Blog it then log it: Many contributors may also be bloggers. Use your blogs to develop your ideas then post the essentials of it here. You can use the threads area at the bottom of each page to provide links back to your blog conversations.
